Had a Mother's and Father's dinner a few weeks back at the club. The theme was hobo and I won second place.

We are getting prepaired to do our roof this weekend, So Not Looking Forward to do it ourselves, but at least we will know it is done right.  We did the orginal one many years ago and I know that the companies out there don't make sure the there is metal flashing in the valleys so we will take care of that.  Just going to be so sore for the next week; and to top it off it will 95 all weekend.

I’ve hosted a few gatherings with girlfriends over the past month or so and have had Velata warmers with yummy treats at both. Had fun this weekend playing ball with Luke, he tries so had to do a good job at batting and pitching.  He watered the garden and helped with the tulip bulbs, also took some home to plant in his garden.  Told him that he can't plant them until fall and he will not see any flowers until spring.  Woke up on Sunday with a headache, more of a allergy headache from being outside the day before.  Took meds and went back to bed; didn't wake up until 1pm, was late for the tool bash our club was having.  Didn't win anything, but got to eat and didn't even have to cook. 

My poor grandbaby got a black eye yesturday at daycare.  She pulled a toy over on herself. This picture is right after it happened so I am sure it will be worse today.  Poor thing has her church dedication this Sunday and will be sporting her first (and hopefully last) black eye.

We had some hail damage to our home so we had our insurance company out to view the damage.  We have a list of things that we need to complete within six months.  New roof, siding pices, a/c combing and check for leakage, painting, new mailbox, fix a window and redo the deck.  Lots of little things to complete, I have a few checked off my list - decorative poles painted, new mailbos (not installes yet - tonight hopefully), A/C unit combed and checked, decorative yard figures gone (will replace with something - not sure what as of yet). 

What did I do this weekend - not work with wood.  Went to shopping and to lunch with two friends then came home tried go take a late nap, but no I could not sleep,  so I started making curtains.  I had a curtain that some had given me that had a red and white checked pattern that I thought would go in my kitchen, but of course there was not enough material, but I did have plenty of black to mix with it.  Also had a shirt that I liked but always had to wear a tank under it so I had a t-shirt that my son disgarded.  I made this.

I used his t-shirt to add some length to the bottom and a small piece for the v-neck.  Perfect color to go the Blues game.

Birthday Hugs for Daddy!

Happy 26th Birthday to my son!  I hope you have a wonderful day, see you tonight for dinner. 

We worked on the hobo hut living room this weekend before and after the the storms our area got on Saturday.



We still have work to do on it; but I think it turned out nice considering it was pallet wood to start with.

Our area got hit with some hail on Saturday.  My youngest son's neighborhood looks terrible; holes in siding; gutters gone; home and car windows gone; no leafs left on trees, dead birds.  Thank the lord that no one was injured.  He has the best neighbor.  They arrived home to find his neighbor Jack raking their front yard of the leafs and tree branchs that had fallen during the storm. I am greatful that they are being looked after by such kind people.

Started to clean out some old paperwork of mine last night (have been doing this for years, just haven't finished it); it was amazing to see how organized I used to be.  If you could see my home now it is a deaster zone!  That will have to be one of my goals this year to get our home more organized.  I find some really good things though while sorting out everything and making a bigger mess.  First off there was a shorthand book that I keep saying I am going to learn to do (still going to try it); an old calendar (I used to be very busy!).

Not sure how many of you know that I see Scentsy (check out my website just click on https://lisadine.scentsy.us/Scentsy/Home on the side bar).  Well they are comming out with a new line called Velata.  It is like chocolate fonde.  Just got my kit in the mail yesturday and took it to work today.  We tried the Milk chocolate with apples and strawberries.  I liked it, but the guys didn't seem too impressed. 

Off to do my volunteer work -- Working at Bingo tonight, hope that we do good!

My birthday boys are go cute, that little looks so innocent; only time will tell!  I hope they had a wonderful time on their birthday, even though this is very late.

I got my garden planted a few weeks back and two of the three raised beds are looking good, the third one is not doing anything a little upsetting but maybe I am being impatient. 

My middle son and his family had to home issues to deal with yesterday-a leaky main water line.  I hope all is well now and the mess is cleaned up.

I put a new baby doll on Khole's (eldest son's daughter) grave yesterday.  I made the doll a necklace with Khole's name on it and a heart bracelet.  Took Thor with me; he loves to go far a car ride.
