Scentsy has been experiencing huge growth over the past year.  Earlier this year, Scentsy introduced Layers – a line of body care products like shower creams and lotions and even laundry products like Washer Wiffs.

Now, Scentsy has just unveiled a sister-company: Velata! Taking a step away from the scent of smell, Scentsy looked at another of our senses – taste – but still utilized their knowledge of warmers. Using a special Velata Warmer made with a patent-pending silicone dish, Velata allows you to microwave your chocolate and keep it warm all in the same warming dish AND with the use of a temperature controlled warming system you can keep your Belgian Velata chocolate at a consistent, ooey gooey delicious temperature for hours. Well, if the chocolate lasts that long!

I’ve hosted a few gatherings with girlfriends over the past month or so and have had Velata warmers with yummy treats at both. Great items for dipping in the Velata Belgian Chocolate include vanilla wafer cookies, bananas, pretzels, strawberries and pineapple – yum! Velata Belgian Chocolate varieties include Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate, Dark Chocolate and Caramel Milk Chocolate. The packages, as you can see at the top, are quite interesting in that you can put them right into the microwave to warm as well and then disperse the chocolate into the silicone dish once warmed.

Of course, you don’t need to have a bunch of people over to have a chocolate fondue. With strawberries on sale throughout the summer, I’ll often make chocolate covered strawberries in advance and have a treat ready to go for dessert!
